I know that some of you are already back in school. And if you’re not, you probably head back in another week or two. That’s okay…you still have the weekends. And I have four kid friendly dish soap ideas that are perfect for a little weekend fun. Just pick up a bottle of Palmolive Dish Soap and use a few things you probably already have around the house!
Everyone loves bubbles. What everyone doesn’t love is running out of bubble solution. That’s OK when it’s so easy to make your own. All you need is Palmolive, water and glycerin. If you’ve ever tried to make the dish soap/water mix work, you know glycerin is the secret ingredient to really make things work. Pick up a bottle in the skin care care aisle and you’ll have an almost lifetime supply for bubble making purposes.
Take any handy bottle and mix 3/4 cup of water with 1/4 cup of Palmolive Dish Soap. Add at least five drops of glycerin. You can use the bubble wands from your old bottles of bubbles. Can’t find any? Look around the house for things you can use. It’s easy to make a wand with floral wire, too!
I know you’re seen that video floating around of the milk/food color/dish soap reaction. It’s a really fun experiment to try. Just place milk in a dish, add a few drops of food color and splash in the dish soap.
Play around with the amounts to get different reactions.
Mine didn’t move quickly when I first added the Palmolive, but it moved for a looooong time and it was pretty mesmerizing to watch.
Feeling a little artistic? Make fun soap bubble prints!
Take a jar and fill it about half way with water. Add a few drops of food coloring. Place the jar in a cookie sheet, add a straw and blow. As the cookie sheet fills with bubbles, dip your paper in the bubbles. Try to avoid getting the paper wet-you just want it to graze the top of the bubbles. Blow the bubbles off of your paper and hang your art to dry. Add layers of bubble colors to create a one of a kind masterpiece. You can even use Palmolive Dish Soap to create a tornado in a jar. You just need a jar, a marble and some food color. Fill the jar with water, add a few drops of food color and throw in the marble. Add a splash of dish soap and put on the lid. Shake the bottle in a circular motion to create a mini tornado.
Pretty cool, right? You can even add a little glitter and watch it swirl!
You can find Palmolive at Walmart. It’s the dish soap that’s tough on grease, but soft on hands. You can even win a $2000 Walmart gift card and other weekly prizes in the Palmolive Sweepstakes. You can also find tons of other fun ways to use Palmolive Dish Soap.
