Now I’ve had some baking adventures that were successful. My pink princess ducky cupcakes were pretty cool, although a lesson in baking and traveling. My fishy cupcakes came out pretty well. But I’m had lots of disasters, too. Seizing chocolates and sliding cheesecakes come to mind.
When I was “hired” by my family to make cake pops for my cousin’s wedding shower I was more than a little nervous. The color was peacock and the theme was winter. But after so many battles with uneven coatings and pops sliding off of the stick I was nervous.
My first challenge was creating the color. Peacock wasn’t an available color in the candy melts. I decided to use multiple bags of light blue mixed with single bags or purple and dark green.
