Today I’m sharing a little more Winnie the Pooh love with a batch of easy to make Winnie the Pooh-inspired Silly Old Bear Soaps. They have a honey almond scent, of course, and would make a perfect little party favor for a Winnie the Pooh baby shower.
How To Make Winnie the Pooh Soaps
To make your own silly old bear soaps, you’ll need:
Chop up your soap base into small squares. Place the soap pieces into a microwave safe container, preferably one with a spout. (I use a large glass measuring cup.) Microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring each time. When the soap if fully melted, add in a few drops of yellow color and a few drops of honey almond scent. Stir in your additions and then carefully pour the soap into the mold. If any bubbles form at the top, spray them with a little rubbing alcohol and they’ll disappear.
You can purchase colorant that is made especially for soap, but since I don’t frequently make soap I always opt for the food color I already have on hand. To make translucent soaps, substitute a glycerin soap base for the opaque one I used.
Allow your melted soaps to fully cool before removing them from the mold. Wrap them up to give as gifts or place in a soap dish to add a little fun to your bathroom.
